Phlebotomy Technician
Course Description
Students will learn the skills needed to become certified Phlebotomists. Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting and tagging specimens exactly as outlined in each medical requisition. Students will learn to properly package each specimen and ensure that every specimen is delivered to the laboratory on time. The program prepares the student for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) national exam. This program will help graduates secure employment in all kinds of medical facilities, from hospitals to private laboratories. Upon completion of both courses, a student will earn an Occupational Skills Award and may enter the workforce as a phlebotomist.
Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to:
- Receive TSC Certificate of Completion
- Receive Occupational Skills Award. OSAs emphasize practical, hands-on training aligned with industry standards to ensure relevance and value in the job market.
