Combination Welding

Course Description

The Combination Welding Program is an advanced course tailored to meet industry-standard techniques for welding pipe using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Students will gain hands-on experience welding pipe in all positions, with a focus on achieving the high-quality standards required by the industry. The curriculum covers essential skills, including proper use of personal protective equipment, understanding the fundamentals of GTAW and SMAW on pipe, and preparing materials through cutting, beveling, and grinding. Additionally, students will learn how to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment while honing their welding techniques to produce professional-grade work that meets the AWS API 1104 standards for pipeline welding. Upon completion, students will have the opportunity to earn an Occupational Skill Award and an OSHA 10-hour certification, making them well-prepared for entry into the welding field.

 

Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to receive:
  • TSC Certificate of Completion
  • Occupational Skills Award. OSAs emphasize practical, hands-on training aligned with industry standards to ensure relevance and value in the job market.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification
