Welcome to the Auto Body Repair Technology Program!

Statement of Purpose
The Auto Body Repair program prepares students for positions in the auto body collision industry by providing hands-on training. Students receive specialized instruction in the use or repair of steel, plastics, fiber reinforced plastics, aluminum, welding, structural analysis, estimates, computerized measuring systems, surface preparation, bed lining, steering and suspension, and refinishing.
Upon successful completion of the program, students may earn:
- Occupational Skills Award – Auto Body Technology Apprentice
- Level 1 Certificate – Auto Body Technology, Body Repair Specialist

Skills and knowledge you will gain
Graduates of the program will be able to:
- perform, develop, and demonstrate knowledge and skills in the auto body industry;
- apply and understand personal and environmental safety procedures;
- utilize proper industry refinishing and body shop tools;
- obtain appropriate techniques and standard operating procedures, and
- understand the standards and terminology used in the auto body repair field.

TSC connects students to high-wage, high-demand jobs by aligning academic and continuing education pathways to the workforce. The program provides valuable experiences that make our graduates exceptionally marketable, such as:
- Internships: Students in the program will participate in an official internship program with local employers located within the local workforce development area. The internships offer students enhanced experiences outside of the classroom to develop their skills and to better prepare them to enter the workforce.
- Job Fairs: Each spring TSC hosts a job fair that features more than 70 employers, all looking for the next generation of qualified candidates. Students and alumni are invited to bring their resumes and strengthen their contacts in their chosen fields.
- Career Services: TSC’s Transfer, Career, and Employment Services team assists students in mapping out college transfers, shaping career aspirations, and aiding in post-graduation job placements.
