Statement of Purpose:
The Veteran Success Center provides all-inclusive support for military-affiliated students, from admissio
n through graduation, to facilitate the achievement of their academic and career goals.
Vision:
Texas Southmost College will achieve and maintain a Military Friendly designation as a recognized school of choice for veterans. In addition, the Veterans Success Center strives to provide a level of service and atmosphere that conveys our appreciation for students’ service to our country.
Goals:
The TSC Veteran Success Center provides veterans and military-affiliated students with resources and support. The Veteran Success Center has five goals:
- Foster community among veteran or dependent students during their transition to college life
- Honor military service within the TSC community and recognize academic achievements
- Connect students to the resources, services, and programs they need to be successful at TSC and beyond
- Inform/educate the campus, community, and prospective students of veteran’s services provided
- Provide an environment where veterans can gather to share experiences and support one another through the educational process
