What is a Veteran Student?
First Time in College student is a student who graduated or will be graduating from high school and have not attended a college/university after their high school graduation.
The first step to get started at TSC is to complete your ApplyTexas Application. You can apply online by simply following the link below:
Official transcripts will only be accepted if sent directly by mail or electronic services from the institution.

The Veteran Success Center provides all-inclusive support for military-affiliated students, from admission through graduation, to facilitate the achievement of their academic and career goals.
Submit Immunization Proof
If you are under 22 years of age and your previous bacterial meningitis immunization record has passed the 5-year expiration mark, you must submit updated proof of vaccination to enroll in on-campus courses.
Testing
If you are required to take the Texas Success Initiative Assessment 2.0 (TSIA2), you can register for an online or in-person exam in two easy steps:
- Log in to the TSC Marketplace.
- Select the Testing Center.
TSI Expiration: TSI scores expire after 5 years. If you are unsure whether your previous scores are still valid or where you originally took the exam, please speak with an Academic Advisor to verify.
Please Note: Students enrolling in Level 1 Certificate or Workforce programs are not required to take the TSI. Unsure which category your program falls under?
