Statement of Purpose

The Medical Office Management program prepares students to support and coordinate administrative operations across a wide range of healthcare settings. Through practical and industry-aligned training, students develop the skills needed to maintain efficient office workflows, support patient services, and promote effective staff communication and productivity.

Graduates of the certificate program are prepared for entry-level administrative roles in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals, and outpatient facilities. Graduates of the associate degree program are equipped for both entry-level and supervisory positions, with the knowledge and competencies needed to contribute to high-quality healthcare delivery and organizational efficiency.

Upon successful completion of the program, students may earn:

  • Associate of Applied Science – Medical Office Management
  • Level One Certificate – Medical Coding and Billing

  • Experiential Learning: Students have opportunities for hands-on learning through the cooperative Education course. These experiential learning opportunities allow students to apply classroom knowledge in practical industry situations and gain valuable professional experience.
  • Job Fairs: Each spring TSC hosts a job fair that features more than 70 employers, all looking for the next generation of qualified candidates. Students and alumni are invited to bring their resumes and strengthen their contacts in their chosen fields.
  • Career Services: TSC’s Transfer, Career, and Employment Services team assists students in mapping out college transfers, shaping career aspirations, and aiding in post-graduation job placements. These agreements support co-op placement opportunities, hands-on training, and potential employment pathways for Medical Office Management students.
