Financial Aid Displacement Advisory

Financial aid displacement happens when a student’s financial aid is reduced due to the receipt of a private scholarship or other reasons identified in this advisory. This practice is in accordance with Texas Education Code (TEC) §56.0094(c). We encourage students to review the Financial Aid Displacement Advisory issued by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Texas Southmost College wants to ensure students understand how this may affect their aid and how to make the most of available financial support, including grants and scholarships. Below are key information and guidance on how to maximize your financial aid and how external scholarships or grants may impact your financial aid eligibility.
