Mission

The Associate of Arts degree in Art provides the foundation for students to express themselves in a variety of creative disciplines and methods in the visual arts. Students who graduate from the Art program are prepared and encouraged to pursue a professional degree in any four-year art program in or outside of Texas. The Art program is designed as a foundations program preparing graduates to work in fields including, but not limited to, studio arts, digital arts, teaching, murals, museum studies, and gallery curation.
