What a ride! The San Benito Chamber of Commerce’s 8th Annual Resaca City Bike Tour rolled through the scenic countryside of San Benito today, and Texas Southmost College proudly pedaled in every mile category – 20, 40, and 60 miles!
It wasn’t about speed or competition but camaraderie and scenic views. For some, it was their first time participating in a tour, while others have a collection of bib numbers and medals from various tours.
Riders launched and returned from Heavin Memorial Park in hybrid, mountain, and road bikes, enjoying the peaceful rural views of 20, 40, or 60 miles. It was a perfect day as the skies stayed cloudy and temperatures mild—ideal weather for a ride!
Except for Nathan Flores, who has represented TSC for the last two years at the Resaca Bike Tour, this year’s TSC cyclists participated in this tour for the first time. Those riders included the following:
- 🚲 20-mile route: Melissa Gutierrez and Anthony Hudgins
- 🚴♀️ 40-mile route: Addie Scoggin, Antonio Durant, and Rick Vasquez
- 🚵♂️ 60-mile challenge: Nathan Flores
👏 Thank you, TSC team, for representing the sting of Scorpion Strong out on the road. We hope that our team grows for the next tour.
