Jessica Uribe is a recent TSC Paralegal Studies graduate and says she has finally achieved her long-term career goal!
After 15 years of working in retail, Jessica wanted to do more for her 2 children. She enrolled at TSC and was taught by Dr. O’Malley and Mr. Perez, and she says “they guided me every step of the way. Of course they taught from the book, but being attorneys themselves, they provided us valuable insight based on real-world experience.”
Through the program at TSC, Jessica began an internship at the Michael Gonzalez Law Firm and was hired just 3 weeks in. “I would not have been prepared for this job without the TSC Paralegal program and the help from my instructors.” Aside from drafting state and federal criminal legal documents and filing them with the courts, she says working with Michael Gonzalez “is a never-ending learning experience,” and that she finally has the career she has always dreamed of.
The days of missing her children’s’ football games and award ceremonies are over. They are both very proud of their mom, and Jessica is proud that, with her new financial stability, she can better support her children. What’s next for Jessica and her family? Her daughter’s quinceañera is right around the corner, and they have their sights set on a new house.
