Currently Enrolled TSC students who are on Academic Probation or dismissal, have less than (9) credit hours, or need college preparatory (developmental education) courses should follow the steps below in order to register for courses:

  1. Pre-Advising
Review your degree plan and, based on degree requirements, draft a list of courses you need to register for.
  2. Schedule a meeting with your Advisor
Bring your pre-advising plan (see step 1) and your student ID card. Once you have booked an appointment with an advisor online, the Advisor will then contact you to set up a registration session through the following options:
    • Email
    • Phone
    • Video Conferencing (Advisor will email you the link)
  3. Clear Holds
If you have holds on your account that affect your ability to register, they must be cleared before enrolling for classes. Log into TSC Online with your TSC credentials to check if you have any holds on your account.
  4. Review the Academic Calendar
Review the Academic Calendar. It is essential to review the academic calendar to discuss information such as payment deadlines, add and drop dates, and more with your advisor.
  5. Review Payment and Options and Deadlines
For more information regarding payments plans, please contact the Business Services at 956-295-3420 or at [email protected].
  6. Have a Plan

  8. Clear Holds
If you have holds on your account that affect your ability to register, they must be cleared.  Even when it is your time to register, if you still have any holds on your account (affecting registration) you will not be able to register. Login to TSC Online to check if you have any holds on your account.
  9. Check the Schedule
Know when it is your turn to register. Check the registration schedule and discuss with your advisor if you are unsure when it is your time to register.Exception
First-time incoming college students, students on Probation and Dismissal, and any students who are not TSI complete or need Developmental Education courses will not be able to register on their own. (Students must make an appointment with an advisor who will assist the student in registering for their classes)
