Sgt. David De León of the Brownsville Police Department’s Office of Community Affairs visited the Texas Southmost College Early Childhood Center to give a talk on safety tips to the children for Halloween.
Whether it’s volunteering at a community organization or teaching her computer information systems students at Texas Southmost College, serving others has been Blanca Lozano’s life-long mission.
“I’m here because of the mission that we have and the goals that have been set for us,†said Lozano, who started at TSC in 1984. “It goes with my personal mission and what I want to do.â€
Being a single father and going to school full-time isn’t easy, but Texas Southmost College second-year sonography student Patrick Auditore is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
“It’s been rough,†Auditore said. “You dedicate 60-70 hours a week to this program.
TSC’s Office of Student Life hosted the first Got Talent show on Oct. 16, 2015 at the SETB Lecture Hall. Ãngel Ruiz won first place with his interpretation of “Cielito Lindo.â€
