TSC offers COVID-19 disinfection training to local businesses.Texas Southmost College's COVID-19 Disinfection Specialist Training program is being offered to any small businesses in the college's service area, which includes Cameron and Willacy Counties. The class begins May 25, 2020.

In response to the current COVID-19 crisis, Texas Southmost College, in collaboration with the Alliance Safety Council and Workforce Solutions Cameron, has developed a short-term COVID-19 Disinfection Specialist Training program that will be made available to businesses and industry for a safe reopening.

TSC Emergency Medical Science alum Cesar Cepeda works for the Brownsville Fire Department.Texas Southmost College alumnus Cesar Cepeda followed his father’s footsteps to become a first responder. The 2015 TSC Emergency Medical Science graduate is a pump operator and paramedic with the City of Brownsville Fire Department.

On the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis, Texas Southmost College alumnus Cesar Cepeda finds himself in the fight against a pandemic while still doing a job he loves.
