Before an audience of over 200 Brownsville Independent School District (BISD) high school students, on behalf of the City of Brownsville, Assistant City Manager Michael Lopez proclaimed April 27 Brownsville Manufacturing Day to kick off the second part of the Heavy Metal Tour & Manufacturing Expo at the Texas Southmost College (TSC) ITEC Center.

Minority males have been struggling to access and succeed in college nationwide for the past decade, and it hasn’t been any different for Hispanic males in the Rio Grande Valley.

Fitch Ratings gave the Texas Southmost College (TSC) Board of Trustees and the administrative leadership team a vote of confidence for continuing to demonstrate sound and responsible stewardship of the college’s finances.
