Toyota Brownsville donates engine to Auto Tech Program

“Anytime we see the chance where we can help, we will,” Toyota Brownsville Sales Manager Ricardo García said. “Toyota is very involved in the community and we a saw a need to help TSC. This is just a start. It will give students an opportunity to open up a BMW engine and learn something different.”

The $1,500 four-cylinder engine was transported to TSC’s Auto Technology Program, located at the ITEC Center on 301 Mexico Blvd., and will be available to benefit the program’s students.

“The modern technology of the BMW engine will greatly benefit our students,” TSC Automotive Technology Instructor Rolando Uresti said. “This donation will expose the students to the technology of an advanced engine and it will be a good hands-on learning experience for them.”
