TSC announces completion of SACSCOC on-site visit

The Committee’s draft report affirmed that TSC has achieved a very high level of compliance with all accreditation requirements.

The SACSCOC is the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states.

Sixteen (16) core requirements, fifty-five (55) comprehensive standards and a number of federal requirements were reviewed for compliance. The Committee’s draft report cited only one comprehensive standard that requires further feedback.

“The SACSCOC Committee was very complimentary of the College,” said Dr. Lily F. Tercero, president of TSC. “The Committee also was very impressed with the work accomplished in the relatively short time since the reopening of TSC as a fully comprehensive, public community college. The on-site visit has been completed and there is only one standard that requires further feedback.”

As part of the process, once TSC receives the Final Report of the Committee, the College will respond to document compliance with the one standard. TSC’s response and the Final Report will be forwarded to the SACSCOC.
