Course Description
This is a 12-hour course. An exploration of the role of the substitute, identification of student needs, behavior modification and classroom management, teaching methodologies, school personnel relationships, mandated state standards, and growth and development of students.
Course Learning Outcomes
Explain the complex duties of short- and long-term substitute assignments; identify teaching methodologies and classroom management techniques for different student levels compile strategies for creating a developmentally appropriate learning environment; and identify state standards.
