Course Description
- Laser welding works on the principle of using a laser with high power density to apply heat to a joint between the surface of two metals. The material melts at the joint, and it permits fusion between the metals as it solidifies. Also covered will be the safety and maintenance of the machines.
- Laser beam welding is used in the machine building industry, fine mechanics, electronics, and aeronautics.
Students will
- Learn to weld the four most common joint types using a variety of metallic materials including low-carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum: butt welds, edge flange welds, filler lap welds and overlap welds.
- Receive a Certificate of Completion
