Quentin J. Bogart, PhD<\/p>\n
On December 17, 2022 Quentin Bogart passed away peacefully in Mesa Arizona.<\/p>\n
Quentin was born in Quincy Illinois on July 16, 1930. \u00a0His mother, Katherine Bogart, was a distinguished teacher at Fort Hays Kansas State College and his father James Walter Bogart was a banker, who passed away in 1934. \u00a0His mother and hisgrandmother raised him. \u00a0Quentin also had a sister, Eleanor and a half-brother, Loren.<\/p>\n
Quentin joined the Navy, and was discharged in June of 1953. \u00a0He served in various administrative positions in community collages located in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky. He moved his family to Austin, Texas, where he obtained his doctorate degree in 1968. \u00a0That same year he became president of Texas Southmost College in Brownsville Texas. \u00a0In 1970, he again moved his family to Tempe Arizona, and was hired as an associate professor in the college of education at Arizona State University. \u00a0He was the liaison for ASU to all of the community colleges in the state of Arizona. \u00a0After his retirement, Dr. Bogart served on various boards, and was the president of the Emeritus College of ASU. \u00a0 \u00a0He is survived by his is wife Norma of 70 years and his three sons Michael, Stephen, and Marty.<\/p>\n
