The students learned how to partner with the community, how to organize an event, get different organizations involved and have everyone come together to celebrate the holiday season.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As part of this year&rsquo;s ceremony, children from TSC&rsquo;s Early Childhood Center sang &ldquo;Feliz Navidad&rdquo; and &ldquo;Jingle Bells,&rdquo; as the A.S. Putegnat fifth grade Honors Choir sang &ldquo;Swinging Down Candy Cane Lane&rdquo; and The Scorpionettes TSC student organization performed to &ldquo;All I Want for Christmas is You.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It felt good to be a part of TSC&rsquo;s Tree Lighting Ceremony tradition,&rdquo; said TSC Scorpionette Noel Rangel. &ldquo;It was a lot of fun. We loved the opportunity to spread some Christmas cheer through the dance team and we&rsquo;re happy that the crowd enjoyed the ceremony.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About Texas Southmost College<\/strong><br \/>Originally established in 1926, Texas Southmost College currently offers the first two years toward a bachelor&rsquo;s degree, along with career and technical education leading to certificates and associate degrees, college preparatory studies to prepare students for college-level work, workforce training, and continuing education.
