TSC Virtual Information Sessions

Texas Southmost College virtual orientations and program information sessions give future TSC students, their families, and the community important information about TSC’s degree programs, admissions requirements, and student resources. Participants will be able to engage with TSC staff and faculty on a variety of topics. Following each live presentation, participants will have an opportunity to ask questions.

Which FAFSA Application should I complete & What will I need to Apply? This guidance session is to inform prospective students of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Financial Aid Specialist will also discuss the Financial Aid Checklist, to ensure eligibility requirements are met, and correct financial information is used. Academic Advising expectations and Understanding your Program of Study In this session, Advising will review the Adviser and advisee responsibilities and review services provided in academic advising. TSIA2 and Who needs TSI Testing This session is to inform students and non-students about the implementation of the Texas Success Initiative Assessment, Version 2.0 (TSIA2) and the remote testing process. Satisfactory Academic Progress This session is for current and prospect students who want to learn about the importance of meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). According to federal regulations, students who fail to make satisfactory academic progress towards their degree or certificate will lose their eligibility to receive Federal Student Aid (FSA). How to Apply for the Work-Study Program This session is to inform current and prospect students of the application process and the requirements to participate in the Federal and State Work-Study Program.
