Medical Office Management Program

The MDOM program has two amazing education programs that are booming in the healthcare industry. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), medical billing and coding specialists earn an average annual salary of $40,350 and work in one of the fastest-growing professions. The BLS also estimates that at least 27,000 new jobs will be needed in this profession by 2026.

The programs are the following:

Medical Billing and Coding- Certificate Level One

This certificate will prepare and train you to be a billing and coding specialist. In the one-year program, TSC covers up to two attempts to test for your certification via NCCT. With the completion and passing of the exam, graduates of this program will be fully certified billing and coding specialists.

Medical Office Management- Associates of Applied Science

With this associate, you will be prepared to specialize in billing and coding and the administrative field of healthcare. An associate’s degree gives you an advantage in healthcare if you want to pursue administration and management. In the two-year program, TSC covers up to two attempts to test for your certification via NCCT. With the completion and passing of the exam, graduates of this program will be fully certified billing and coding specialists and medical office assistants.

A student from the MDOM program who graduates will also have the opportunity to demonstrate that they are a determined and distinguished leader in their field.

Student Leadership Academy

The student leadership academy offers dedicated students the opportunity to continue to develop and enhance their leadership and interpersonal skills. Academy members will attend leadership workshops, conferences, and special events. Students will learn the importance of servant leadership and volunteerism, and as such, they will be an active leader both on and off campus.

SLA Graduation Requirements:
Academy members are required to attend at least ten workshops and complete a minimum of 20 volunteer hours to be eligible for graduation. An exit interview must be scheduled at least one month in advance before graduation from the TSC Student Leadership Academy. The fall Student Leadership Academy graduation ceremony will recognize participants who complete the requirements.

The Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a series of interactive workshops to enhance your leadership skills, network with like-minded students, participate in team-building activities, and engage in volunteer opportunities.

 

Additional Course Costs

The MDOM program has a uniform requirement. The uniform is a scrub jacket, navy blue colored, with the TSC school logo, which is up to the regulations of the campus as well as the student’s name. The costs of this uniform vary due to market costs.
