Abraham Jimenez has over 10 year of teaching experience. First as a math tutor then as an instructor for UTB and TSC. Abraham teaches both Introductory Algebra MATH 0321and Intermediate Algebra MATH 0322 at TSC and is also one (1) of the instructors for STAR Contemporary Math. Abraham is also one of the dual instructors for STAR Contemporary MATH 1332, a co-requisite course which allows you to take MATH 0321 and MATH 1332 in the same semester. (Abraham received his Bachelor's and Master's degree from UTB. He is also a member of the HB5 and VAT committees.

Janet Magturo Sandoval is a mathematics instructor in the Division of College Preparatory Studies. She joined TSC in Fall 2013. She teaches Introductory Algebra and Intermediate Algebra.Prior to coming to TSC, she was a Developmental Mathematics instructor at South Texas College. She also taught at Harlingen CISD, Weslaco ISD and Progreso ISD as a secondary mathematics teacher. She received her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Central Philippine University and her MA degree in Mathematics from the University of Southeastern Philippines.She resides with her husband in the mid-Rio Grande Valley. Andrew Sebok teaches mathematics for the Division of College Preparatory Studies. He comes to TSC with over six years of experience in teaching and tutoring at community colleges in Central Illinois. He holds an AS degree and a BA degree from Eastern Illinois University as well as a teaching license for secondary classrooms. He teaches Introductory Algebra and Intermediate Algebra courses as well as the Math Fundamentals courses. Brittney Gillespie-Porter earned a BA in Mathematics from Millikin University, MA in Mathematics from Eastern Illinois University, and Ph.D. in Education Administration and Foundations with concentrations in Assessment and Educational Policy Analysis/Legal Research from Illinois State University. Erick GonzalezErick A. Gonzalez is a mathematics instructor in the Division of College Preparatory Studies. He joined TSC Fall of 2017. He started as a Developmental Mathematics instructor for the University of Texas at Brownsvile and Texas Southmost College. As a recipient of the Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship he worked in Secondary Education for San Benito CISD. He comes to TSC with 5 years of teaching experience in secondary and higher education. He has also taught for the University of Texas at Kingsville. He has taught Geometry, College Algebra, Trigonometry and Statistics and is excited to join the Department of CPS Mathematics at TSC. Jeisel QuintanillaJeisel Quintanilla is a mathematics instructor for the Division of College Preparatory Studies. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a Teacher Certification in grades 4-8 and her Master’s degree in Mathematics from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She worked at UTRGV as a mathematics tutor and graduate teacher assistant where she discovered her passion for working with students in higher education. Aleksandra ShchelkunovaAleksandra Shchelkunova joined TSC in Spring 2016, and she has more than 10 years of tutoring, teaching and research experience. She teaches Introductory Algebra, Intermediate and College Algebra. She earned a chemistry degree from Moscow Academy of Fine Chemical Technology in Russia, and her MS in Applied Mathematics from UTB TSC.
